The Chaos Effect

Yesterday was a fantastic day for me. What started as a beautiful Monday morning ended in the funniest way imaginable. First I had a great time at work. A little bored I was as I did not have something major to do. Just as the clock turned to half past one, I receive a call that my power supply was being disconnected due to delayed payments. Indeed I had overshadowed my grace period to clear the debt by 1 week, but hey this is Kenya, guys are never prompt at doing things, especially disconnecting!

So I rushed out of the office hoping to settle that issue soonest and get back to work. I dont drive so I had to board a matatu, which kept stopping to pick everything, even the flies! So I meet my housemate and good buddy Joel. He had braved the long queue and had paid. Now it was my turn to take the receipt and show it to the electrician so as to have the power reconnected.

I dashed to town as the trip home demands a trip via the city. While in town I decide to get some cash from the ATM but alas! I have a negative balance. In a rush I proceed to buy airtime and call customer care who keep me on hold forever. So I finally run out of airtime. I rush into the bank and get tossed like a rag doll all over the place. Finally Im told some money has been frozen but they donno why. So I leave after they promise to look into it seriously.

I rush home only to find the house flooded. A faulty tap had leaked all over the place. My beddings, clothes and OMG, my old laptop was also floating around the pool. What in the flying F@#$ was my expression. I could do nothing but start salvaging what I could.... Oh what a day!
